錯誤的句型：Comma Splice

 

Comma Splice就是錯誤的用逗號將兩句(含)以上的獨立子句分開，或者在不該加逗號的附屬子句之間加了逗號。

以下為修正Comma Splice的方式：

1. 在逗號之後加上適合的連接詞。

2. 將有Comma Splice的句子分隔為兩個獨立子句。

3. 將兩個句子合併成有附屬關係的句子，也就是加上subordinating conjunction 例如：when, if, because, since, although等等。

4. 將多餘的逗號刪除，或者將附屬子句中的兩個子句前後調換

例句：

I visited Tainan this winter vacation with my friends, it was a wonderful memory.

I visited Tainan this winter vacation with my friends, and it was a wonderful memory.

I visited Tainan this winter vacation with my friends. It was a wonderful memory.

 

I don't believe in you, because you boast all the time.

I don't believe in you because you boast all the time.

Because you boast all the time, I don't believe in you.
