錯誤的句型：Run-on Sentence

 

Run-on Sentence就是兩個句子之間沒有逗號或是對等連接詞(and, or, but, so, yet, nor)。

以下為修正Run-on Sentence的方式：

1. 加上逗號以及一個對等連接詞。

2. 將一個句子分成兩個並且以句號分隔。

例句：

I woke up at 7 o'clock I didn't go to the class that started at 8.

I woke up at 7 o'clock, but I didn't go to the class that started at 8.

I woke up at 7 o'clock. I didn't go to the class that started at 8.
