A Great English Writing Teacher

1. Have you ever get frustrated when attending an English writing class? It is perfectly normal that this happens because among the four English skills, writing is surely the most difficult one to master, and the learning of it has a somewhat miraculously off-putting effect on the great majority of English learners. To improve such undesirable learning circumstances, a good English writing teacher plays an important role._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

2. Teacher John Lin makes the learning of writing interesting because he himself is a person of great humor. He can always come up with jokes to revive the class’ spirit, and both his facial expression and body language are hilarious, which can almost always catch the class’ attention. Most importantly, he always uses practical yet fun examples to illustrate difficult writing skills. I remember there was one time when he had to teach the typical structure of a 5-paragraph argumentative essay, which is commonly known as one of the most difficult writing genres to learn for undergraduate students. He, however, used himself as an example to address what to put down in each paragraph, and that not only made everyone in the class laugh but also successfully imparted the necessary writing knowledge to the class.

3. In addition to his great sense of humor, his extraordinarily gorgeous appearance makes the learning of English writing somewhat delightful. Whenever I am about to lose my focus in the content of the composition textbook, I can always refresh myself by just staring at his handsome face. His thick eyebrows project a feeling of strength, his big eyes sparkle like the stars shining in the darkest sky, his pointed nose perfectly centers his face, and his red lips always seem tasty. Although it is true that the looking of a teacher has nothing to do with his or her teaching abilities, Teacher John Lin’s astonishing good look surely transforms the tedious writing class into a heavenly pleasant learning environment.

4. While English learners all over the world are complaining about their pain in attending English writing classes, I consider myself very lucky to meet this exceptional English Writing Teacher—Dr. John Lin. His great sense of humor and incomparable appearance makes the learning of writing a pleasant task. I highly recommend that every single English learner in the whole universe take his class!
